Ellen Christianson and Team Bring a Lot to the Table
We were very pleased to announce today that Ellen Christianson, a longtime leader in Nashville’s real estate community, has merged her iconic Belle Meade firm with Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty. We now have more than 150 real estate agents in our three Middle Tennessee offices: Green Hills, Franklin and now Belle Meade. These locations create a triangle around the communities where most of Middle Tennessee’s luxury properties reside.
Ellen’s brokerage, Christianson Patterson Courtney & Associates (CPC), has approximately 30 agents and has been in Belle Meade since 1986, and she has been involved in Nashville real estate since the mid-1970s. What’s even more special is that Ellen got into real estate at the behest of Shirley Zeitlin’s husband, and Shirley served as Ellen’s first managing broker. They did a lot of work together in the Cottonwood development, which is still one of Middle Tennessee’s most attractive neighborhoods.
“Shirley is a longtime friend and mentor, and to become part of the incredible firm she and Jessica have built is a true honor,” Ellen said. “I’ve had several offers to merge my firm with other brokerages over the years, but the values and mission we share with Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty made this the clear choice. With their commitment to new technology and ability to utilize the cutting-edge Sotheby’s International Realty platform to buy and sell homes — as well as the expertise and presence in Middle Tennessee’s most luxurious neighborhoods — we’ve become an even better resource for our clients.”
It really does seem to be a partnership that has been years in the making, and one that should be seamless as we welcome the CPC team into the Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty family.
“Our firms share the same values with an emphasis on relationships, extraordinary customer service and market expertise,” said Jessica Averbuch, CEO, Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty. “For those reasons, we have been well aligned over the years and our agents have helped thousands of people discover their personal definitions of luxury. It’s a perfect match and we’re proud to officially make Ellen and her firm part of the Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty team.”
Ellen will serve as the managing broker of the ZSIR Belle Meade office. Here are some additional insights about Ellen and the merger:
Shirley Zeitlin, Founder:
“No one is more respected in the Nashville real estate community than Ellen Christianson. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her many times, and admire the business she built and the people she’s positively influenced. She’s been successful because not only is she a respected and capable leader who understands our neighborhoods and communities, but because she listens to her associates’ needs and uses her expertise to help them. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Ellen’s team join our family.”
“The resources and technology that Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty have in place are truly game changers for our agents and clients, and blow away anything else in our market. With hourly updates to listings, access to five-star marketing tools and easy-to-use dashboards and interfaces, it’s a one-stop destination for everything at all times.”
Jessica Averbuch, CEO:
“As we move into our 40th year as a company, I can’t think of a better way to kick off that celebration than having Ellen’s team join us. While things might look different here now than they did in 1979, what’s clear is that Middle Tennesseans still place the same value on service, expertise and the ability to get results. This merger stays true to those values while strengthening our footprint within the ‘Luxury Triangle’ of Green Hills, Belle Meade and Franklin.”
