Happy 2019! We’ve said goodbye to 2018 and are ready to embrace the new year. And what better way to start off the new year than with some fun events? Check out these great Nashville events happening this month:

 

Step back in time at the Frist Museum for Life, Love & Marriage Chests in Renaissance Italy. These wedding chests were an integral part Italian wedding rituals, and continued to be an important part of the home. Learn more about these beautiful pieces and life in Renaissance Italy now through February 18th.

 

Head downtown to cheer on the Nashville Predators as they play home games on January 1st, 15th, 17th and 19th. And when they’re not playing a home game, you can cheer them on at the Nashville bars that are sure to have the game on.

 

Hiking + hot chocolate? Yes it’s possible! Head to the Marshmallow Hikes hosted by Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary on the 4th and 5th for a hike in the woods, and afterwards enjoy hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows.

 

For some Shakespeare in the winter, check out Julius Caesar, starting on the 10th and running to the 27th. Shows will be playing at Belmont University and at MTSU’s Tucker Theater.

 

 

Get your appetite ready! Nashville Restaurant Week is back, this time happening from the 21st to the 27th. Enjoy special menus of delicious food from more than 60 locally-owned restaurants.

 

Head to the Nashville Zoo on the 26th for Zoo Run Run! It’s a fun 5K through the property, and all proceeds benefit the Zoo.
